Delivery Disclaimer

This Delivery Disclaimer explains how Mars Communications Ltd (“Mars”, “we”, “us”) delivers products purchased from mars-shop.co.tz and our branches. By placing an order with us you accept the terms below.

Delivery Areas & Charges

  • We offer free delivery within Dar es Salaam on qualifying orders, and free TV installation on televisions delivered within our standard service areas.
  • Deliveries to other regions of Tanzania (upcountry), Zanzibar and remote areas may attract a delivery charge, which is quoted and confirmed before dispatch. Such deliveries are often handled by third-party couriers or bus/cargo services.
  • Where goods are sent through a third-party transporter at the customer’s request, the goods travel at the customer’s risk once handed over to that transporter.

Delivery Times

  • All delivery dates and times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. They may be affected by stock availability, traffic, weather, public holidays, courier schedules and other factors beyond our control.
  • We make reasonable efforts to deliver within the agreed window and to keep you informed of any delay. Mars shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by late or delayed delivery.

Receiving Your Delivery

  • Please ensure someone aged 18 or over is available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the goods.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure clear, safe access for large appliances (doorways, staircases, lifts and passages). We deliver to the entrance or first point of safe access; we do not carry out building works, removal of doors, or hoisting.
  • If a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available, access is inadequate, or the address is incorrect, a re-delivery charge may apply.

Inspection & Reporting Damage

  • Please inspect all goods at the time of delivery before signing the delivery note.
  • Any visible damage, shortage or incorrect item must be noted on the delivery note and reported to us within 24 hours of delivery. Claims for transit damage made after this period may not be accepted.
  • Retain all original packaging until you are satisfied the product is in good working order.

Risk & Ownership

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery or collection. Ownership remains with Mars Communications Ltd until payment has been received in full.

Installation

Free installation, where offered, covers standard installation only. Additional materials, special fittings, electrical works, brackets, piping or extended cabling may be chargeable. Installation of air conditioners and built-in appliances is by appointment and may be scheduled separately from delivery.

Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Mars shall not be responsible for failure or delay in delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, power disruptions, strikes, road closures or supplier delays.
